?? About the Role:

As a Highways Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and maintenance of our client's road network. You'll be responsible for inspecting highways, identifying defects, and coordinating repairs while adhering to relevant legislation and codes of practise.

�? Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of public highways and record any defects.Prepare reports and schedules of work for repairs and maintenance.Assist in enforcing statutory duties related to the Highways Act.Liaise with external and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.Maintain accurate records and manage data entry into various databases.

?? Essential Requirements:

Experience working in a street works environment at the inspector level is desirable.Knowledge of highway construction, maintenance, and/or traffic engineering is advantageous.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with various stakeholders.Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.Sound knowledge of highways materials, construction, and relevant legislation.Computer literacy in MS Office and other relevant software.Basic site surveying skills and map/plan reading abilities.NRSWA accreditation to supervisory level.A valid driving licence is essential for this role (Drive own vehicle and be fully on-site.).
