Elevate Projects are working in partnership woth our london based client to appont an expereiced Building Control Surveyor on a long term contract, toensurethat construction projects comply with building regulations and other relevant legal requirements.

1. Plan Assessment

  • Reviewing architectural and engineering plans to ensure they comply with building regulations (e.g., structural safety, fire safety, energy efficiency, accessibility).
  • Advising architects, developers, and contractors on regulatory requirements before construction begins.
  • Issuing plan approval certificates when designs meet legal standards.

2. Site Inspections

  • Visiting construction sites at key stages to check that work complies with approved plans and regulations.
  • Inspecting foundations, drainage, fire safety measures, structural integrity, and insulation.
  • Identifying defects or non-compliance issues and advising on corrective actions.

3. Compliance & Enforcement

  • Ensuring builders and developers adhere to national and local building standards.
  • Issuing notices for non-compliance and, if necessary, taking enforcement action.
  • Assessing dangerous structures and ordering emergency safety measures if needed.
