Are you an experienced Senior Building Surveyor with a proven track record in the social housing sector? Hyperion Partners is excited to be working with a leading housing organisation to recruit for this temporary role, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in communities while advancing your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed building surveys, ensuring properties comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Manage and deliver responsive and planned maintenance projects across a range of housing stock.
- Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring all works are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.
- Identify and address building defects, including disrepair, damp, and structural issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified: Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying (e.g., RICS, CIOB accreditation preferred).
- Experienced: Demonstrable expertise in social housing, repairs, and maintenance, with knowledge of building regulations and health and safety standards.
- Skilled: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative: Excellent communication skills, capable of working with a wide range of stakeholders, from tenants to contractors.
- Proactive: A self-starter with a solutions-focused approach to surveying and problem-solving.
