Are you an experienced Senior Building Surveyor with a proven track record in the social housing sector? Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed building surveys, ensuring properties comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Manage and deliver responsive and planned maintenance projects across a range of housing stock.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring all works are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Identify and address building defects, including disrepair, damp, and structural issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified: Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying (e.g., RICS, CIOB accreditation preferred).
  • Experienced: Demonstrable expertise in social housing, repairs, and maintenance, with knowledge of building regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Skilled: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative: Excellent communication skills, capable of working with a wide range of stakeholders, from tenants to contractors.
  • Proactive: A self-starter with a solutions-focused approach to surveying and problem-solving.
