Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in highways construction. The ideal candidate will possess a HND or HNC in Quantity Surveying or a related field and will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and ensuring the financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
  • Conduct detailed measurements and valuations of works.
  • Prepare and process monthly valuations and final accounts.
  • Manage subcontractor orders and payments.
  • Assess and value variations and change orders.
  • Provide cost control and financial reporting for projects.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and costs incurred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HND or HNC in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in highways construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
