Salary: 65,242 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Purpose of the Role:We are looking for a Senior Group Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to administer, manage, and support multi-site network systems. The successful candidate will ensure a cohesive network model across all campuses, focusing on wide area networks, security platforms, storage, backups, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage multi-site VMware vCenter estate and VMware Horizon VDI platform.
- Administer large-scale campus networks, with a preference for candidates with Juniper knowledge.
- Manage Active Directory for computers, servers, staff, and student accounts.
- Configure and maintain Office 365/Azure hybrid environments.
- Implement endpoint protection solutions within cloud environments.
- Stay current with security threats and deploy proactive measures to protect infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Strong command of networking fundamentals, particularly with Juniper.
- In-depth experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and standard network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Proven background in troubleshooting multi-server and multi-site environments.
- Familiarity with VMware, SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, and backup solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
- Minimum of five years' experience in network administration and support.
- ITIL qualification preferred.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure and security roles is a plus.
