Overview:

My client, a leading UK-based IT Services & Consulting organisation requires a Lead Security Automation Engineer to join their world-class Development team on a permanent basis. The engineer will initially be placed into a major Automation project with a major globally operating financial services end-client.  Candidates will require a demonstrable leadership background, as well as knowledge and experience in security including patching & vulnerability remediation, and implementing security features within a major Ansible Tower DevOps environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand on the existing automation capability to improve and fix overall vulnerability remediation capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and create Ansible patching & vulnerability remediation playbooks
  • Configuration of Ansible / Ansible Tower
  • Development and maintenance of CI/CD Pipelines
  • Create API-based (incl. but not limited to REST/GraphQL) integrations and orchestration for the vulnerability remediation, ServiceNow and internal self-service portals
  • Assisting with Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) development & deployment
  • Upskill current team with knowledge of vulnerability remediation automation and orchestration

Required Skills:

  • Background within Financial Services (highly desirable)
  • Experience leading teams (DevOps / DevSecOps)
  • Knowledge and experience in security including patching & vulnerability remediation
  • Advanced proficiency in Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Playbooks
  • Proficient skill in Python OR PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC)
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (ideally AWS)
