London Fire Brigade, one of our largest public sector clients based in London are looking to recruit a Programme Manager on an interim basis for 3 months to cover maternity leave (with the possibility of further extensions). The role is full time, Monday to Friday with hybrid work arrangements available, 2 days in the office and 3 from home. The office is based near London Bridge/Southwark station.Pay rate: £400 per day PAYE or £529.44 per day UmbrellaPurpose of the role: This role is to support with managing a complex transformation programme to do with the outcomes from the cultural review that were taken place in the last year. The review found there is still "more work to do" to ensure LFB staff feel confident reporting and handling unacceptable behaviour. There are 5 projects within the programme itself with about 30 initiatives across those which include governance, reporting, training and development.Experience required:Experience of managing complex programmes and advising on project and programme management techniques and methodologies. Experience of managing and implementing significant programmes successfully, with a focus on outcomes and benefits. Experience of co-ordinating the work of the project and programme teams to deliver projects on time and in budget and to the desired quality.Due to the nature of the role applicants need to show experience dealing with large complex programmes with a strong focus on stakeholder management. There is no need to have experience of managing Risk and Operational services before but dealing with similar programmes would be beneficial but not essential.
