We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and commercially astute Commercial Director to join a highly ambitious care provider at a pivotal moment in their growth journey. With a clear focus on delivering high-quality services across Learning Disabilities, Supported Living, and Adult Complex Care, the organisation has built a strong foundation — and now requires a visionary commercial leader to help shape the next phase of development.
This is not purely a sales or marketing role. Instead, it’s an opportunity to lead and develop the entire commercial function, spanning business development, marketing, partnerships, and strategic growth. You will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to ensure that commercial strategy and long-term relationship building go hand in hand with the organisation’s values and commitment to exceptional care.
What’s on Offer:
- Salary of £100,000 - £110,000, plus equity, reflecting the importance of this role to the organisation’s future.
- The opportunity to shape strategy at executive level within a growing and values-led provider.
- A collaborative, ambitious leadership team who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- A role with real purpose, where commercial success directly enables better outcomes for people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a commercial strategy aligned to the organisation’s growth ambitions and core values.
- Oversee and develop business development, marketing and commercial partnerships, ensuring all activity contributes to sustainable, quality-driven growth.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with commissioners, local authorities, NHS bodies and key stakeholders across the sector.
- Identify and develop strategic opportunities — from new service models to innovative partnerships — helping the business stay ahead in an evolving care landscape.
- Lead and develop the commercial team, embedding high performance and a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.
The Ideal Candidate - To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven leadership experience in a senior commercial role within health and social care — ideally with exposure to Learning Disabilities, Supported Living or Adult Complex Care.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to shape and deliver a multi-faceted growth strategy.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with local authorities, NHS commissioners and other external partners.
- A track record of leading high-performing teams and developing talent.
- The ability to balance commercial drive with a strong sense of social purpose, ensuring quality and values remain at the heart of growth.
- Flexibility to travel regularly to London for leadership meetings and key stakeholder engagement.
