Join one of the largest Greater London Authorities organisations as a Commercial Manager. 

This role is for a Commercial Manager – Workforce who will be responsible for managing existing contracts/suppliers and co-developing the future category strategy (to be rebranded as ‘Workforce’). Approximately 50% of the role will interface with the ‘Services Solution Programme’, focusing on automation and self-service of contingent labour and SOW (Statement of Works).

The People Team category is part of the Collaborative Procurement categories led by TfL Procurement & Commercial across the GLA (Greater London Authority) Group of organisations, including the Metropolitan Police Service and the London Fire Brigade. This role involves managing a complex and large customer base and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a plan for contract management with clear objectives to support effective supplier performance, service delivery improvement, benefit realization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Draft an options paper for the intermediate plan for the contingent labour contract, including any extension requirements.
  • Consult with stakeholders to gain feedback, obtain approval, and implement recommendations.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

•                     Contingent Labour/Professional Services category experience

•                     Public Sector proven experience in applying principles to day-to-day procurement activities and documentation

•                     Full category management lifecycle

•                     Detailed knowledge and understanding of current domestic and EU legislative requirements

•                     A proficient level of knowledge and experience in managing large service contracts with multiple senior stakeholders across a variety of external organisations

•                     Excellent level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

•                     Ability to interact with and analyse complex data.

•                     Ability to communicate and engage effectively and to influence stakeholders both internally and externally up to Managing Director level through presentations, negotiation, and written reports, presentations etc
