- Leading the execution of the marketing and communications plan to ensure the firm is strengthening its position as a leading private client and property law firm in its chosen markets.
- Overseeing the delivery of multi-channel campaigns that support fee earners’ business development efforts and resonate with target audiences. This includes outputs on the relevant channels including powerful content through events, PR, thought leadership, podcasts, social media and awards.
- Managing the firm's digital footprint across the website and social media channels.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to Family Law fee earners and supporting their broader business development goals.
- Communications strategy - to provide input and oversee all of the firm's content and campaigns whilst ensuring we continue to deliver strong cross-departmental messages to key strategic focus areas recommending how different channels can work together (web, social, podcasts, video, PR, thought leadership). Ensuring all of this communication accurately and consistently reflects our tone of voice and brand approach.
- PR - responsible for the management of the ongoing roster of PR activity across all practice areas within the firm, along with firmwide PR activity. This includes taking responsibility for management of the firms PR agency, writing of firmwide press releases, closely monitoring the press, along with potential risk topics and supporting with training and preparation ahead of interviews and media appearances.
- Digital – responsible for the ongoing performance and management of all digital channels, including the website, SEO, social media and email marketing including taking responsibility for management of the key agencies for each. This also includes, working with the Marketing Executive to manage the firm's social media presence and campaign sharing plan, monitoring the success of its usage. This role will also be supporting the fee earners on their use and power of their professional LinkedIn network and providing training where needed.
- Marketing collateral - acting as a brand guardian, ensuring all marketing collateral is in line with the firms Brand Handbook. Where needed, writing and reviewing the firm's corporate marketing collateral with the wider team.
- Events – where relevant to a campaign, to input into and manage effective events ensuring there is a clear purpose to each event and monitoring the success.
- Awards & Submissions - developing an Awards/Directories strategy for the firm and writing awards submissions and directory submissions for key teams.
- Metrics – with the Marketing Executive, closely monitoring core digital metrics that measure the effectiveness of all activities e.g. GA4.
- Trends - to monitor new trends in marketing communications and recommend how to integrate into the firm marketing communications plan.
- Other activities - as required by the BD Director and wider Partnership.
- At least five years' experience of working in a marketing and communications environment, preferably within a professional services firm.
- An understanding of how to deliver effective marketing communications in professional services across all channels.
- Experience or a strong interest in Private Wealth & Property sectors.
- Excellent written, creative and organisational skills – with a flexible approach and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Previous experience and a strong knowledge of digital marketing (web; SEO; social media).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders whilst also being a keen team player.
- Excellent IT skills in: Microsoft Office; content management systems (e.g. Wordpress); Adobe Creative Cloud suite (e.g. InDesign); Google Analytics; email marketing software (e.g. Vuture).
- Educated to degree level with a post graduate qualification in marketing.
