Key Responsibilities of the successful Senior Building Surveyor:
- Manage and deliver Building Surveying services across a range of sectors.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring a seamless service.
- Use and apply building contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) effectively.
- Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and produce detailed professional reports and specifications.
- Providing technical due diligence, dilapidations advice, and contract administration
- Deliver commissions under established framework agreements.
- Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth and career development.
Requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:
- BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from a RICS-accredited institution.
- Holds chartership or is working towards chartership.
- Proven track record in pre- and post-contract work.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and NBS; experience with Revit and understanding of BIM Level 2 are advantageous.
- Strong IT skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Project and professional building surveying experience.
- Excellent communication skills to inspire clients and colleagues.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
