A leading global law firm is looking for a Head of Communications to join their team in London on a 9-month FTC on a July start. This is an exciting opportunity to lead marketing communications activities and make a significant impact on the firm's profile and positioning.

Role Overviews

As the Head of Communications, you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be responsible for leading marketing communications activities, including PR, brand messaging, internal communication, and external awards. You will manage a team of communications professionals to deliver innovative and first-class service to the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications framework and stakeholder map.
  • Create and manage an annual strategic communications plan.
  • Lead the implementation of firm-wide marketing communications strategies.
  • Establish and develop relationships with key external influencers.
  • Manage strategic communications for senior leadership.
  • Ensure internal and external communications are aligned and effective.
  • Oversee the firm's PR strategy and media relations.
  • Advise on reputational risk and crisis management.
  • Drive key marketing communications projects and priorities.

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar communications role, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the legal environment and experience with legal, trade, and business press.
  • Proven experience in content marketing, campaign management, and thought leadership.
  • Strong relationships with the media and relevant bodies.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Flexible, creative, and determined with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and persistence.
