Interested in the world of art and luxury? Fine Art, Design & Luxury auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull are looking to recruit a full time Marketing & PR Coordinator for their busy London location (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) based at our gallery in Connaught Village, near London's Hyde Park.

Lyon & Turnbull has one of the largest specialist teams in the country and the company has been increasing its presence in London with a focus on Modern & Contemporary Art, Luxury, Design and Asian Art.  This is a new, interesting and varied role supporting our growing London team which will require the successful candidate to be efficient, flexible, a team-player and a strong communicator. As part of a busy team working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, the securing and maintenance of strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders will be essential. 

PRIMARY FUNCTION/POSITION SUMMARY
This new role will support and guide the expanding London team and their active auction and event schedule.  The focus of this role will be to facilitate growth through the management of marketing campaigns that focus on increasing engagement and reach of both targeted events and the company’s position in the heart of London.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns for all activities in our central London location - including auction promotion and consignment, events promotion and location brand building - working together with the wider UK team
  • Provide general support for the London Specialist Departments team including management of department marketing schedules, sales information, digital reporting, generation of social media content and liaison with other teams
  • Manage location specific marketing budget distribution and performance (including ROI) of campaigns
  • In- conjunction with both the London and Marketing teams, deliver an effective marketing strategy to meet Lyon & Turnbull London’s business objectives at the best value
  • Work closely with the London Team – including Business Development and Specialists - to help attract new and retain existing customers at every opportunity
  • Collaborate on lead generation & targeting to create and build influencer lists aligned to sales, departments and overall location (B2C and B2B)
  • Create press releases and work with press contacts to gain additional exposure and to highlight special projects
  • Support consignment efforts in London, working in collaboration with the UK marketing team on digital and print advertising channels
  • Support the creation of location specific materials including email, print, advertising and social media – working with our Content Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer.  
  • Work with Content Marketing Manager & Head of Photography to create and manage the production of campaign content – with internal team and freelance support - including copy, film, photography and editorial
  • Work with the Digital Marketing & SEO Manager to manage content and coordination of location specific digital advertising on paid social and paid search channels
  • Undertake niche marketing activity to support specific campaigns
  • Work with the London Gallery Manager and BD team to schedule and promote events in the company’s London gallery, external venues and in the South of England
  • Work with the Digital Marketing & SEO Manager to collate and present data-driven marketing reports to assess campaign performance
  • Work with insights collated by Digital Marketing Manager and other sources to continually optimise activity on a regular and ongoing basis. Ensure that these insights feed back into future marketing and PR activities
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams to develop successful methods to increase market reach in London and, consequently, market share in the company’s specialist areas
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with key stakeholders and departments in London and keep ongoing knowledge of business KPIs  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Degree-level education in relevant subject or equivalent working experience  
  • Work experience in marketing position within a creative field, having previously implemented and managed multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience within arts media/ press contacts advantageous
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a UK-wide team  
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communicator
  • Experience creating social media content (inc video and stills) for various channels
  • Time management skills and an understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • Confidence to build relationships with stakeholders/staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite; email-marketing systems (Mailchimp); insight generators (Google Analytics); CMS (Strapi)
  • Interest in world of art, design and luxury auctions advantageous 

WORKIGN HOURS & BENEFITS

  • Salary dependent on experience.
  • Full time - standard company hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required at needs of company
  • Based in central London gallery with option for some hybrid working available (collaboration powered by Microsoft Teams)
