We are assisting a leading mechanical and electrical contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries in their search for an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Construction Manager for a Commercial Project in Central London. Electrical Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical construction activities including planning, directing, and coordinating all electrical-related work while ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Reporting to the Project Manager, you will develop and implement detailed construction plans for electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

• Lead and manage electrical teams ensuring proper training, performance management, and compliance with safety protocols.

• Perform regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure the integrity of all electrical installations.

• Conduct regular safety meetings ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.

• Oversee the procurement of electrical materials and equipment in coordination with the procurement team to ensure that materials are available when required.

• Identify potential challenges or risks related to electrical construction and develop solutions promptly.

• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and relevant stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress addressing any concerns or issues related to electrical works promptly and professionally.

• Maintain accurate records of all electrical construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection logs, and material deliveries and provide detailed reports to senior management.

• Ensure all electrical systems are tested and commissioned according to project requirements.

• Degree/qualifications in Electrical Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction management, preferably within construction with focus on Commercial and Data Centre projects.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and electrical codes/regulations.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and manage project risks effectively.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
