The Electrical Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing electrical installations and overseeing the on-site electrical teams across multiple residential projects. You will ensure that work is carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, while managing the day-to-day operations of electrical installations on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and emergency systems, on residential construction projects.
- Oversee and coordinate electrical contractors, ensuring that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with drawings, schedules, and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is progressing on time and meets quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams, resolving any issues or technical challenges that arise on-site.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, codes, and standards, including the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
- Manage the daily operations of the site, ensuring that materials, tools, and resources are available for work to progress smoothly.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other site supervisors to ensure effective coordination across disciplines.
- Review electrical drawings and specifications, ensuring all installations meet the required quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, issue logs, and health and safety audits.
- Ensure that all electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Gold ECS card
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor, ideally within the residential construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and other residential systems.
- Experience in managing electrical teams and subcontractors on-site.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Full understanding of current electrical regulations (18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between London and Kent.
