We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team for a major commercial construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the electrical installation and maintenance works, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of electrical teams and subcontractors.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans to ensure accurate and efficient execution of work.
- Ensure the timely completion of all electrical works, keeping the project on track in terms of deadlines and budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems, identify issues, and work with engineers to resolve any technical challenges.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and communication across the project.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all electrical works, including progress reports and material usage.
- Promote a strong safety culture on-site and ensure all electrical works are carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to the electrical team as needed.
Requirements:
- Gold ECS card
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, wiring, and fire alarms.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in coordinating electrical work on commercial projects is highly desirable.
