What will you do?
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Planned & Complex Works Building Surveyor to join our Repairs Team.
This vital role involves managing complex repairs, disrepair cases, and refurbishment projects while driving continuous improvement in housing services.
You will oversee the surveying and maintenance needs of approximately 17,000 homes, ensuring compliance with key housing legislation and promoting a high-performance culture.
 
As a key member of the team, you will:
·Collaborate with senior leaders to develop systems for regular property inspections, identifying and prioritising reactive repairs and cyclical maintenance.
·Lead on disrepair cases, kitchen and bathroom renewals, void works, complex repairs, damp and mould projects, and day-to-day repairs, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
·Highlight key investment needs to the Property Planning and Assets Team for inclusion in major works programs.
·Provide technical support, strategic leadership, and health and safety expertise to the team, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
·Lead on strategic projects and build partnerships with stakeholders to deliver coordinated and integrated housing services.
 
What do you need?  
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate ALL the following on application and through the interview process:
·UK Resident
·MUST have minimum 3 years' experience of working in a local authority at a senior level
·Extensive experience in building surveying and/or repairs operational delivery or supervising contracts or disrepair case management.
·Ability to lead meetings, write reports, and provide technical advice to a wide range of contacts.
