Key senior level role for a CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER. This role will combine team management (you will have direct and indirect reports) with onsite construction project management experience. It's an exciting and varied role in which you will work autonomously but will keep the Board up-to -date with costs and potential cost overruns. It will only suit someone with years of construction project management experience . Nice role!

JOB TITLE: Senior Construction Project Manager

Direct Reports: 3 direct and 10 indirect reports)

Location: 3 days on site (or in office) and 2 days wfh

Sector : Construction of hospitals

Salary Up to £85,000 depending on exp ( + 33 days annual leave incl 8 bank hols, pension and various insurances etc)

Hours 37.5 (Mon-Fri)

The company : Award winning specialist construction company with a portfolio of in excess of 120 hospital and healthcare properties in its portfolio. The company also invests heavily in associated projects alongside construction such as digital technology, medical equipment and other capital projects /investments

Summary of the role: Support director of Capital (investment) Projects and to take responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of the project on-time and on-budget

DUTIES: In summary: Managing budgets and people

  • Managing multi-phased construction projects, delivering on time on budget in live environments (on site)
  • Management of onsite and offsite contractors, consultants and direct reports team
  • Status reporting : writing business cases for additional expenses and budget overruns for presentation at Board Level
  • End to end project management from inception to completion in line set milestones
  • Govern and lead project delivery teams to manage programme, risk and cost to achieve the best value results
  • Management of all site and non-site related health and safety issues

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Chartered Construction Project Management professional RICS, RIBA, C Eng, APM or similar working towards
  • Degree/Diploma
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience in managing construction projects (inception to completion)
  • Report writing
