Engineering Supervisor
Location: West LondonSalary: £50,000Job Type: Full-Time - Monday to Friday: 8am 5pm + overtime
About the Role:As a supervisor, you must ensure that all equipment and services are properly maintained and operate safely. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, including both day and shift engineers, while ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. A crucial aspect of this role is ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed in accordance with the scheduled dates, with priority given to statutory and mandatory tasks. Additionally, you must ensure that reactive tasks are completed in order of priority.
Role Summary- Ensure site technical services are delivered in compliance with legislative, client, and health, safety, and environmental programmes.
- Act as the main point of contact for all in-scope and out-of-scope technical activities, providing technical support across a wide range of industrial technical services to both the team and the client.
- Manage a team of engineers to deliver M&E services.
- Oversee specialist subcontractors where required, ensuring all work complies with legislative, client, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Act as the Maintenance Excellence Champion for the site, driving continuous improvement in technical service delivery.
- Provide solutions and quotations for small project works.
- Identify potential business opportunities for expanding the scope of work and additional services.
- Carry out maintenance and repair activities when required (likely in emergencies or to cover holidays/sickness).
- Oversee the technical service delivery on-site.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Good organisational and planning abilities.
- Proven ability to visualise and communicate work execution effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and ensure their completion.
- Mechanical or Electrical background (Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to be approachable and tactful.
- Ability to write and provide clear, concise instructions.
- Understanding of maintenance processes, including the proper use of work order systems, planning and scheduling, and storeroom procedures.
- Capability to provide familiarisation training and demonstrate specific job requirements.
- Ability to lead by example by carrying out maintenance and installation tasks to a high standard.
