Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Manager to join our team for a significant 3-year data centre fit-out project. This role is integral to ensuring the successful delivery of the project, managing all aspects of construction, from planning through to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage the mechanical or electrical aspects of the data centre fit-out project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary safety protocols.
- Budget Management: Monitor project costs and manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager within the building services sector, preferably with data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and construction processes.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
