Join a dynamic and growing Tier 2 main contractor, where you'll work on HS2, the UKs largest infrastructure project. We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a passion for structural steel and a proven track record in delivering complex construction projects.

The role is based full time on site at Old Oak Common.

About the Role:

You'll be at the helm of exciting and challenging structural steel packages, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Developing and implementing detailed project plans, coordinating all aspects of construction, and managing resources effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of engineers, subcontractors, and construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Contract Management: Managing contracts, ensuring compliance with specifications, and resolving any contractual disputes.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks, developing contingency plans, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring project quality, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry standards, and implementing robust quality assurance procedures.
  • Cost Control: Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicating effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in structural steel construction, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
  • Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection, as well as knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, inspire creativity, and achieve project goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges effectively.
