We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Reed Professional Services, working closely with a major UK postal service provider's Operations and Delivery team. This role is crucial within the Technology function, focusing on the Indoor Transformation Programme, specifically the Parcel Sortation workstream. This project involves collaboration with third-party suppliers and the platform team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage relationships with suppliers and the in-house team of engineers.
- Oversee financial aspects of the project including forecasting and estimation trackers.
- Communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation, ensuring clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Lead the delivery of change projects successfully, managing stakeholder relationships effectively, even in challenging situations.
- Demonstrate resilience and drive to maintain progress and resolve issues, maintaining a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
- Employ strong delegation and negotiation skills to manage project dynamics.
- Provide technical support to the project team, aiding in issue resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Drive innovation and creative problem-solving within the team.
- Proven experience in managing suppliers and engineering teams.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging a broad audience.

- Experience with both traditional and modern IT/software development lifecycles, including Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Agile/Lean teams, SCRUM, KANBAN, XP delivery processes, Continuous Improvement, and tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and HP Application Lifecycle Management.
