Job Purpose:

To assist the Construction Manager and or Projects Delivery Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of highway investigations, improvement and road renewal schemes for our London HMPF and STICF contracts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review and check Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Construction Phase Plans
  • Monitor works programmes and liaise with contractor, client and Borough to ensure programme dates are met.
  • Liaise and facilitate relationships with designers, contractors, stakeholders, and client.
  • Maintain contemporaneous daily site records, phots, plant and labour resources.
  • Manage permits to work / dig etc and approvals process in accordance with TKJV SHEMS
  • Ensure Permitting conditions are maintained and adhered too.
  • Assist in resolving site/construction issues and relay changes to Scheme Engineer / Designer / QS
  • Ensure schemes are constructed in accordance with the approved design and to specification.
  • Ensure workforce adhere our H&S and environmental, site rules.
  • Inspect daily TM layouts of schemes and address items raised.
  • Produce site documentation and ensure site inductions, POWRA and daily briefings are completed.
  • Complete weekly Safety Inspections and attend weekly NOVADE safety meetings.
  • Provide detailed information for the Scheme QS to raise EWN and CE's
  • Provide as built and post construction information for completion of the H&S File


Typical Skills/Experience

  • Highways construction experience essential
  • Knowledge of NEC 3 form of contract, issue CVI's
  • Knowledge of Specification of Highway Works
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple contractors at the same time.
  • Good organisational/communication skills
  • A Full Manual Drivers licence.
  • Temporary Works Co-Ordinator / Supervisor preferred.
  • A good knowledge of Chapter 8 and Traffic Management
  • CSCS card holder preffered
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • SMSTS or NRSWA required.
