Irwin and Colton has been engaged on a new opportunity to recruit for a well-established housing organisation that has over 16,000 properties across the UK. The position they are looking to bring onboard is a new Health and Safety Manager to integrate with the wider Safety team to drive a positive, customer focussed health and safety strategy.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Contributing to the development and consolidation of customer focussed Safety across the portfolio
• Contribute guidance on Fire Safety and Environmental issues faced by the organisation
• Visiting various sites across the South of England to ensure the team are conducting relevant accident investigations reporting, inspections, and answering any health and safety related queries raised
• Ensuring the team are accurately analysing and reporting on health and safety performance and communicating this across the organisation

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
• Proven health and safety experience within the wider property space, ideally within housing/residential or facilities management
• Good communications skills and a positive and pragmatic attitude to problem solving within Health and Safety
• The candidate must have a driving licence and happy with travel across the South on a regular basis
