Housekeeper / Cook

Tiger Private is seeking a Housekeeper/Cook for a residence in Henley-on-Thames. This role involves maintaining the high standards of the residence, including housekeeping, cleaning, and general upkeep. The position also requires covering for the chef two to three days per week, preparing light, mostly plant-based meals with chicken and fish for one to three adults. The full-time chef will handle special events and dinner parties, while the Housekeeper/Cook will provide daily family meals during the chef’s absence. Additional responsibilities include laundry, table setting, caring for glassware and silverware, and service duties, which are typically informal and buffet-style but become more formal for events. Other tasks may include running errands, shopping, and managing dry-cleaning needs.The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanour, strong discretion, and a proactive, efficient approach to their work. A positive and upbeat attitude is essential, as well as a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Prior experience in large private households, on superyachts, or in five-star hotels would be highly beneficial.This is a five-day-a-week position on a rota system, with two days off. Flexibility is required, as the role includes working one or two weekends per month, with corresponding days off during the week. The schedule consists of housekeeping duties on most days and kitchen responsibilities two to three times per week. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional shifts from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM for events or dinner parties.JEM82709Tiger is B Corp Certified.
