About the Role:We are seeking an Risk Manager to take ownership of the firm's risk management framework, working closely with business leaders across different broking divisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and enjoys building strong relationships with key stakeholders. The firm is open to Senior Risk Analysts who are ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a business partner across the insurance broking divisions (specialty, commercial, corporate) to embed a strong risk culture.
  • Own and enhance the Operational Risk Framework, ensuring effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct risk reviews, control testing, and deep-dive risk assessments, providing clear insights and recommendations.
  • Lead on horizon scanning for emerging operational risks, ensuring the business is well-prepared for future challenges.
  • Support senior management in risk reporting, including preparing materials for governance committees.
  • Partner with compliance, audit, and business leaders to drive a proactive risk management approach.
  • Provide training and guidance to teams on operational risk best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in operational risk within insurance, broking, or wider financial services.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of risk initiatives.
  • Experience with risk frameworks, control testing, and risk reporting.
  • Open to Senior Risk Analysts looking for a step up into a managerial role.
