Role Description:
Our client, a respectable leading cleaning contractor providing exceptional services to businesses in multiple sectors, is looking to appoint an Account Manager to join their Team. As Account Manager, you will take ownership of the cleaning and compliance aspects of one site. The site is in the heart of London’s academic, medical, intellectual and financial hub and is being refurbished, opening in phases.
The role will involve the day-to-day management of supervisors and cleaning teams, ensuring a flexible work schedule is adapted to meet operational needs while maintaining high standards. Additionally, the manager will support the team's development, wellbeing and performance, while creating awareness and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols required for laboratory environments. The ideal Account Manager will have proven experience as a manager within the cleaning sector, with excellent communication and organisation skills. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to further develop and get involved in one of the most exciting sectors of the industry.
Responsibilities:

Liaise with Clients on a daily basis and build strong relationships based on customer focus and care

Deal with any ad-hoc requests in a prompt and professional manner

Management and coordination of cleaning staff, Site supervisors and periodic teams

Manage and input payroll on a monthly basis for the team

Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service, with compliance to industry standards and in line with health and safety legislation and requirements

Understand control of contracts - ensuring they are run to budget

Prepare management information, including but not restricted to Budget / KPI’s / SLA’s

Attend and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual operations meetings as required and present the collated information

Recruit and select strong and responsive team members as required

Organise staff holidays and absenteeism cover accordingly

Build a positive rapport with the client and key stakeholders

Monitor and achieve levels of cleaning in line with the contract’s SLAs

Plan and be flexible with working times and priorities for each day

Monitor equipment/uniform/stock levels and liaise with site supervisors in order to arrange appropriate cover when needed

Carry out first-level HR duties and staff training requirements

Support sustainability initiatives and motivate staff to get engaged

Ensure staff wellbeing and monitor mental health

Ensure the financial aspects of the contract are dealt with and budgets adhered to

Ensure consumables and materials are ordered

Seek innovation within the industry

Mobilisation of new contracts as required
Requirements:

Important to have a knowledge of the cleaning industry with Commercial Awareness

A minimum of three to five years' experience as a Manager within the cleaning industry

Staff management and delegation experience

Hardworking and trustworthy individual who takes pride in their work

Able to adapt well to any working environment, follow procedures and guidelines and have very good communication skills

Work well under pressure

Conscientious, honest, punctual and extremely reliable

Having experience in Life Sciences and lab cleaning protocols in Containment Levels 1 and 2 is fundamental

Work well as a team member or independently, enthusiastic and willing to be versatile with changing priorities

Excellent organisation skills, competent in I.T. i.e., Google docs

Able to present new ideas and methods, using your own initiative in order to maximise the level of services and innovations

Discretion, as will possess access to confidential and sensitive company/employee information and will be expected to keep this knowledge private

Be on hand for all site staff with any issues they may have

Ability to motivate others

Ongoing training in cleaning functions and tasks, management, health & safety and first aid

Knowledge of HSEQ, RAMS, COSHH and general industry practices
