Position Overview

The Learning Management System Administrator will overlook Ciarb’s Learning Management System and effectively use Ciarb’s CRM to ensure a smooth and friendly learner journey. The post holder will be responsible for enabling an improved learner experience from the pre-delivery stage (marketing, bookings, payments, enrolments, and materials) of Ciarb courses and assessments to the delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Ciarb’s Learning Management System (LMS) including:

  • managing the administration of courses in both pre delivery and in live session
  • updating all courses and course materials within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • overlooking all assessments within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • management of group and individual Learning Management System (LMS) memberships via the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure efficient candidate enrolment on courses and ensuring the retention of valid and accurate user data
  • continually improving the learner experience on the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • producing enrolment and learner data to facilitate course and assessment analytics
  • supporting subject matter experts in accessing their areas within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Learning Management System (LMS) to create course and assessment instances to enable candidate registration
  • Work closely with relevant Ciarb departments on drafting marketing information for courses and assessments
  • Regularly produce and update course materials and maintain relevant departmental documentation
  • Contribute to learner acquisition in close collaboration with membership courses and marketing teams
  • When required liaise with finance for course payments, candidate invoices, and receipts
  • When required support the membership courses team in administering the delivery of courses.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience of working in the educational environment, particularly with respect to online course management
  • Experience of managing a Learning Management System i.e. Moodle, Totara
  • Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or Educational Management Information System (EMIS)
  • Strong copy writing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to support multiple projects adhering to logistics and deadlines
  • Professional and robust customer service skills including excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivation and initiative, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
