Role: Learning Resource Officer - Motor Vehicle Type: Permanent - Part time Location: East London Eden Brown are currently looking to recruit a Learning Resource Officer - Motor Vehicle on behalf of a leading Further Education College in the East London area. Part-time, 21.6 hours per week, permanent basis, £27,590 - £29,761 (full time equivalent) pa inc. London Weighting (salary to be pro ratad to 21.6 hpw, 3 days) Key Responsibilities: *Support motor vehicle students by preparing tools, materials, and equipment for practical sessions. *Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment usage, ensuring safe practices in workshops. *Assist with demonstrations and practical tasks, following health and safety guidelines. *Oversee the maintenance, installation, and usage of workshop equipment. *Work collaboratively with the automotive team to enhance the learning environment. Essential Requirements: *Formal qualifications in a relevant subject (minimum Level 2), including English and Maths. *IT skills (Level 2 qualification desirable). *If holding a Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification, commitment to enrolling in a Level 3 course within the first year. *Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, with the ability to work independently. *Competence in IT, administration, and tracking tool/equipment usage. Desirable experience: *Previous experience in a motor vehicle training environment or FE college. *Knowledge of health and safety practices in workshops. *Experience preparing materials for exams and demonstrations. *Familiarity with managing tool stocks and maintenance processes.
