Position: Quality and Performance Manager Location: Hybrid/North London Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Type: Permanent The Role As a Quality and Performance Manager, you will implement robust quality monitoring and management systems across all internal programmes to consistently maintain a low audit and inspection exposure risk.  You will drive quality improvement across the delivery of government-funded programs, ensuring that the quality of learning is improved by sustaining an Ofsted Good grade at the next Ofsted Inspection. You will support the Head of Quality, Curriculum, in preparing the company for OFSTED inspections and awarding body assessments for the Government-Funded Programs provision.

Main Duties and Responsibilities o    To develop, implement, and manage quality practices that meet the requirements of the business, as well as government and contractual requirements (OFSTED, Education, Skills Funding Agency Contracts and other Funder’s Contracts). o    Manage and improve the quality framework that delivers an excellent standard of teaching, learning, and assessment across all contracts, ensuring that the national averages for success are exceeded and improving learners’ experience. o    Complete Quality Assurance observations of each point in a learning journey, providing actions for improvement and monitoring these for named assessors. o    Lead the IQA function in all aspects of awarding body compliance, including monitoring visits, maximising positive outcomes, and ensuring that Direct Claims Status is maintained for all sectors in remit. o    Be responsible for the timely awarding body registration and certification of all learners within named sectors. o     To manage the day-to-day operations of the Apprenticeship Team, including the deployment of tutors and resource management. Ensuring the Apprenticeship Team effectively works with learners and employers to provide an outstanding training and assessment experience. o    To ensure that operational objectives and key performance indicators are set, managed and continuously reviewed and that team performance against objectives is effectively monitored, tracked and reported. o    To work with Apprenticeship Team recruitment colleagues to ensure that an individual’s apprenticeship experience, from their point of engagement, through an initial assessment and on to a tutor/assessor caseload, is positive and completed promptly and professionally. o    To ensure that the caseloads of line reports are equitable and that any issues affecting the quality of teaching, learning and assessment resulting in underperformance are immediately addressed. o    To lead and coordinate the delivery of provision by ensuring that delivery structures, schemes of learning and registrations are in place. o    To recruit and mentor all new apprenticeship staff and promptly conduct probationary reviews. o    Provide monthly reports to the Head of Quality & Curriculum on all Quality and performance activities detailing areas for continued improvement and further development.

Skills & Experience o    Experienced Government Funded Programmes o    Relevant QCF Assessor qualification – e.g., D32/D33/A1/CAVA/TAQA Assessor o    Relevant Internal Verifier/Internal Quality Assurer qualification – e.g., D34/V1 o    Level 5 Teaching Qual or PGCE – Essential or be willing to work towards o    Clear understanding of learners’ assessment, teaching, learning, achievement and progression o    Clear understanding of verification, moderation and standardisation o    Experience in delivering internal training to improve teaching and learning practices to be outstanding o    Performance Management of staff and programmes to ensure high quality of delivery and achievement o    Experience with Self-Assessment process and Quality Improvement Plans o    Experience in performing OTLAs o    Commitment to a learner-centred approach o    Ability to build a rapport and good working relationships with partner organisations. o    IT proficiency with experience in education management information systems o    Experience with electronic learner data systems. o    A commitment to creating cultures that embody positive change, continuous improvement, health and safety, safeguarding and equality.
