Training Operations Officer

Join the London Fire Commissioner as a Training Operations Officer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective delivery of training across the Brigade. This position is integral to our mission of serving and protecting London by ensuring that our training operations are efficient and meet the evolving needs of the city.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Planning and Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of training delivery plans, liaise with stakeholders to optimize training schedules, and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties, manage communications related to training schedules, and handle enquiries.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Input and monitor data in IT systems, generate reports to support decision-making, and maintain accurate records of training attendance and resource utilization.
  • Business and Strategic Planning: Support the analysis of data to produce insights and assist in strategic planning for training resources and schedules.
  • Performance and Self Development: Manage your workload to meet deadlines, stay updated with Brigade policies, and seek personal development opportunities.

  • Pay: PAYE £19.55 per hour / Umbrella - £25.50 per hour

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or timetabling, with a strong ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Experience in a customer-focused environment is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong numerical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in IT applications, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge: Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles, understanding of health and safety responsibilities, and knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements.
