cer Financial are working alongside a bank based in the City of London. They are looking form a Credit Analyst Manager to work with them on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have oversight of FI and NBFI-related credit work and workflow control including Credit Application and Borrower Rating commitments. Credit work will be forward looking fundamental credit calls on live transactions, limit renewals and annual reviews; working side by side with relationship bankers and product partners. Sovereigns/Banks/Banks/Brokers etc.

They will need to manage the administration of the credit function.

The responsibilities of a Credit Analyst Manager will include:

Prepare all applications, including spread sheeting if applicable, for new or increased credit limits for approval, or otherwise, by Senior Manager, Credit / Credit Officer / General Manager / Credit Committee (as appropriate).
Discuss with appropriate staff all aspects of each item of credit exposure.
Monitor daily all obligor and country exposures to ensure that they are within credit policy and approval limits.
Manage the administration of the credit function.
Prepare all recommended pre-approved credit limits for annual review.
Keep under continuous review all pre-approved or other limits for appropriateness in the light of developments in the credit standing of all obligors.
Ensure that the correct credit limits are input into the appropriate operating system for monitoring.
Bring all credit excesses to the attention of the Senior Manager, Credit and Credit Officer immediately
Keep under review the Credit Policies & Procedures for recommendations to the Senior Manager, Credit and Credit Officer for updating or improvements
Be aware at all times of all matters that might give rise to credit quality declines of obligors or countries.
Manage the Credit Monitoring and Watch List processes.
Provide the administration function of the Credit Committee
Manage the account opening process, verifying the accuracy of the information to be used, checking the regulated status of financial institutions or the incorporated status of companies to ensure the suitability of the customer.
Minute new limit approvals.
Obtain annual reports from our customers, either printed or downloaded from the internet.
Review and set industry limits, in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Credit and Credit Officer, and regularly check compliance with those limits.
Prepare industry studies as required.
Review the Credit Departments monthly report to the Risk Committee for accuracy.
Act as back-up for the Senior Manager, Credit and Credit Officer when absent.
Undertake the key tasks of the Credit Administration Officer when necessary through absence.
Undertake ad-hoc projects as required.
Undertake any other duties as specified by the Senior Manager, Credit and/or the Credit Officer
