Altum are excited to be partnering with a private equity backed professional service business in their search for a Credit Control Manager. This business is on a high growth trajectory and are seeking a Credit Control Manager to implement best practices, drive change and manage a team of four as they expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of credit controllers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit limits to minimise risk.
  • Debt Collection: Implement effective debt collection strategies, including proactive follow-up, negotiation, and legal action when necessary.
  • Cash Flow Optimisation: Analyse cash flow trends and identify opportunities to improve collection processes and accelerate cash inflows.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on credit control activities, including key performance indicators, ageing analysis, and bad debt provisions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and refine credit control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
