Our client is a leading name in the Real Estate industry, managing an impressive portfolio of commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties on an international scale. They are currently seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their close-knit team who has experience working in the property industry.

In this fast-paced role, you will take a hands-on approach to managing a large mixed-use portfolio's credit control process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that debts across all property types are recovered efficiently and promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Contacting tenants via phone, letter and email to collect debts across rents, rates and service charges
  • Building rapport with tenants to ensure consistent payment adhering to existing terms, and negotiating these where necessary.
  • Regularly review arrears, taking appropriate actions in collaboration with the Senior Credit Controller and Property Managers.
  • Take appropriate recovery actions through mortgagees, solicitors, or bailiffs, and handle follow-up matters, including court proceedings if needed.
  • Negotiate payment plans with leaseholders and tenants, working alongside the Senior Credit Controller.
  • Ensure all records and communications with tenants and leaseholders are accurately maintained in the company's property management system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within Property and knowledge of a property management system such as Qube, Tramps, Yardi or MRI is highly advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills are a must-have - inclusive of VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well-practiced in managing a busy schedule and prioritising multiple deadlines
