Totum Partners are working with a leading law firm to recruit a Credit Controller for maternity leave cover in the City for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining strong relationships with clients. The position will involve a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

The ideal Credit Controller will be responsible for:

- Monitor invoices and follow up on overdue payments via phone and email.

- Sending payment chaser requests regularly and escalating accounts as needed.

- Collaborating with the debt recovery and dispute resolution teams for aged accounts.

- Negotiating payment plans and providing clients with updated statements of accounts.

- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and communications.

The ideal Credit Controller will have:

- Essential experience in credit control within legal or professional services.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
