Role Overview

In this role, you will handle the analysis and recording of various credit control transactions, cash collection, and monitoring. You will manage your own portfolio of brokers, which involves sending statements, coordinating with brokers and their finance departments, and preparing and generating various reports with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, customer service, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Here are the essentials you'll need:

  • London Market Insurance knowledge (essential)
  • 1-2 years Credit Control background (essential)

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute monthly broker account statements.
  • Allocate received funds for premiums and claims, and request closings and slips from brokers.
  • Frequently contact debtors via phone, email, and team meetings to secure payments.
  • Process premium and claims payments.
  • Identify and escalate Notices of Cancellation (NOC) from aged debt.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the collection process.
  • Lead regular meetings with each business unit to address any credit control issues and escalations.
  • Oversee existing processes, challenge redundant requirements as the model evolves, and ensure continuous improvements.
  • Analyse and identify inconsistencies and errors in booked premiums, and work with the technical and claims teams to correct entries.
  • Resolve unallocated cash issues and provide constructive feedback on mispostings.
  • Monitor and manage the shared Accounts Inbox.

Here are some of the very desirable skills:

  • Microsoft Excel Skills (V-lookups and Pivot tables).
  • Analytical problem-solving approach.
  • Knowledge and experience with sequel eclipse is positive but not essential.
  • Time management skills and ability to multitask to meet SLAs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and conversing with external clients.
  • To be able to work within a team and to be proactive.
  • Outcome focused on sound decision-making.
