Our Client is a City of London law firm with a headcount of 500 staff in offices across Europe. They specialise in many areas of law including Commercial, IP & Technology, Tax, Corporate Finance & M&A, Employment and Real Estate amongst others.

They offer a great benefits package including season ticket loan, private health insurance, corporate health club membership, generous pension contributions and on-site restaurant, amongst others.

Our client is looking to recruit a Credit Controller. The candidate will have five years of experience in a Credit Controller role within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and collect outstanding debts.
  • Regularly monitor bank accounts for incoming payments and collaborate with the
  • Transactions team to ensure accurate allocation.
  • Professionally pursue and collect overdue payments.
  • Ensure customers settle outstanding accounts according to agreed terms to maximize cash flow.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and drive.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the credit control function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, handling queries, disputes, and payment arrangements in a professional and timely manner.

Candidate Profile

  • At least five years of experience in a Credit Controller role within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritize a conflicting workload.
  • Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, dependability, and initiative.
