Are you a leader within syndicated loans with a passion for operational excellence and client service? We are seeking a Head of Loan Operations on behalf of our client, a tier one, leading, global bank. This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of a regional loan agency and loan administration operations team, driving performance, consistency, and excellence across multiple sites.

About the Role

As the Head of Loan Operations, you will oversee the regional teams responsible for loan agency operations, loan administration, and corporate trust functions. You will be accountable for ensuring smooth operations, implementing best practices, and driving efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on client service and operational integrity. This is a leadership role that requires proactive problem-solving, an ability to manage multiple priorities, and a deep understanding of the loan market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the loan agency and loan admin teams.
• Drive consistency across regional sites by collaborating closely with sector leads and client service managers.
• Ensure strong collaboration and best practice sharing between various operational teams
• Develop and maintain a high-quality operational team focused on delivering world-class service.
• Foster a client-first approach, ensuring stakeholder needs are understood and processes are clear.
• Take ownership of action plans or remediation exercises, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
• Manage risk by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Stay updated on industry developments and lead the team through key market changes.
• Provide guidance and act as an escalation point for local management.
• Ensure ongoing staff training and development.
• Manage operational, reputational, and financial risks through operational risk assessments and audits.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of the loan market. You will be highly organised, capable of managing competing priorities, and committed to delivering outstanding client service. Additionally, youll need a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrable track record in risk management.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong working knowledge of Loans Administration, Loans Agency andLMA documentation.
• Extensive experience in the Syndicated and/or Primary Loan Market.
• Operational risk expertise and a deep understanding of risks in the loan agent business.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Client-focused approach with a track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Leadership experience with a focus on collaboration, coaching, and team development.
