Reinsurance Credit Controller

Role Purpose

Act as a key partner for Underwriting and manage critical trading relationships. Ensure reinsurance contracts are accurately reflected in systems, monitor premium settlements, and manage credit control and cash collection. Provide performance reporting, KPI delivery, and engage stakeholders across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee broker and reinsurer credit, ensuring effective portfolio performance.
  • Review contract terms to track due dates and facilitate timely balance recovery.
  • Assess premiums throughout contract life to address adjustments, profit commissions, and bonuses.
  • Provide monthly financial insights to Group Finance and Underwriting; monitor KPI performance.
  • Ensure adherence to monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial requirements.
  • Train team members on credit control and ensure continuity of portfolio management.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, system updates, and process improvements.
  • Analyse aged debt, focusing on reducing >90-day receivables and preventing deterioration.
  • Monitor reinsurer and broker payment performance and program metrics.
