Your new company

I am currently working with a client who is seeking a Senior Credit Controller with 5+ years of experience in the Insurance industry. They are a very credible and established underwriting agency.

Your new role

  • Generate and distribute monthly statements for broker accounts.
  • Allocate incoming funds and request necessary closings and slips from brokers.
  • Proactively contact debtors via phone, email, and online meetings to secure payments.
  • Identify overdue debts and escalate issues as needed.
  • Foster strong working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders to support the collection process.
  • Organise and lead regular meetings with different business units to address credit control challenges and escalations.
  • Continuously assess and improve current processes, eliminating inefficiencies and driving ongoing improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in recorded premiums, working with the technical team to correct any inaccuracies.
  • Address unallocated cash issues and provide feedback to prevent mis-postings.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years experience in the Insurance industry, Credit Control background.
  • Analytical problem-solving approach, proficiency in Excel, pivot tables, and B-lookups.
  • Strong analytical skills with the knowledge to deal with large complex reconciliations on broker accounts.
  • Confidence and excellent communication skills and liaising with external clients.
  • Ability to multitask and meet SLAs.
