Senior Property Binder Underwriter (International)
Company Overview: A large insurance firm with a diverse portfolio, including property binders. This will focus on a large international property book that is looking to expand into the UK and targeted European markets.
Job Description:
- Managing delegated authority, which constitutes 50% of the income.
- Expanding the book in the UK and Europe, to balance the geographical split of the existing book.
- Overseeing a portfolio that includes property, casualty, and consortiums, with a significant portion in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Identifying new opportunities and strategies to write business outside of our current markets, especially in a competitive and soft market environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Underwriter (or Underwriter), preferably with international exposure.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market dynamics, particularly in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
- Ability to manage and grow a diverse portfolio.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
