Our client are currently seeking a Business (SFEDI) Tutor to join their educational team within the Offender Learning Sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of learners, aiding them in improving their own lives and making a meaningful impact on their local community. As a Business (SFEDI) Tutor based on-site, you will be pivotal in nurturing our learners’ entrepreneurial spirit and guiding them in acquiring the skills necessary to set up and run successful businesses.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering engaging and tailored business studies lessons, focusing on the SFEDI standards for enterprise and entrepreneurship.
  • Empowering learners with the knowledge and skills to understand business operations and management.
  • Creating a supportive and motivational learning environment that encourages learner engagement and success.
  • Monitoring learner progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team that values educational excellence and staff wellbeing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards), with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding qualification within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C).
  • Demonstrable track record of effective teaching in business studies, with a focus on SFEDI standards.
  • Eligibility to gain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
