Active Recruitment are working with an Outstanding mainstream Primary school in East London, who are seeking a Part-Time Year 5 Teacher to start in January 2025 on a temp to perm basis. This will be 2 days per week (Thursdays and Fridays).

This is a highly respected school situated in East London and a school that is proud to be operating out of state-of-the-art facilities and excellent teaching spaces. The school have a strong reputation for their investment in staff, where professional training and development are concerned.

The school are ideally looking for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, able to plan and deliver engaging lessons in Year 5.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons following the school curriculum
  • To plan lessons and activities to meet pupils individual learning needs
  • To use a range of appropriate strategies and follow school policies for teaching, behaviour management and classroom management
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievement of pupils
  • Adapt teaching and lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
