Our client, a professional membership body based in Central London is currently recruiting for an Education Project Officer

The Role & Responsibilities of the Education Project Officer

This role includes project admin to support the technical review team; to support the quality assurance of initial education and to support the provision of advice and guidance on accreditation and careers to universities and students including pathways into their membership.

  • Support the technical review team with gathering data and other information including feedback from stakeholders on the impacts and opportunities to their levels of accreditation and the recognition of Higher Education/Further Education qualifications.
  • Support the technical review team with the implementation phases of their education projects including consultation exercises and surveys.
  • Support the technical review team by using their guidelines and criteria to assess the quality of education and other qualifications.
  • Administer reporting processes required of their accredited universities and undertake analysis in line with the priorities of their education projects. Maintain relevant records and databases as appropriate.
  • Undertake desk-top research to ensure information and careers guidance on initial planning education, website content and social media is up-to-date.
  • Respond to queries on initial education matters from students, universities, careers advisory services and employers.
  • Explain the pathways to their membership to students, graduates and careers advisors at accredited universities and non-accredited institutions.
  • Contribute to the development of education research, data collection, surveys and policy briefings for relevant committees and the Executive Team, as well as drafting and circulating papers, and taking minutes as appropriate.
  • To consider the potential data protection implications before using or storing any personal data, referring to their Data Protection Policy or seeking advice as necessary.

Person Specification

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience of organising and prioritising work effectively.
  • A good understanding of higher education provision, with project admin and policy development experience.
  • Experience of accreditation/validation of higher education qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good administrative, research and analysis skills.
  • Experience in supervising volunteers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to meetings or events through the UK and Ireland occasionally.
  • Experience of writing for the web and social media is desirable.
  • Experience of presenting to large groups is desirable.
