Hotel Café Royal is an iconic 5-star luxury hotel located in Central London, next to Piccadilly Circus. With 159 luxurious rooms and suites, 4 premium food & beverage outlets, and the award-winning Akasha Holistic & Wellbeing Spa, we offer our guests an unforgettable experience of elegance and hospitality. We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Hotel Night Manager to lead our night team and oversee all operations during the night shift.

Hotel Café Royal enjoys an unrivalled setting on Regent Street where the elegance of Mayfair, energy of Soho and sophistication of St. James combine. It's where history, culture, business and the stage are just steps away. That's one reason why, for 150 years, people who make a difference have made their way through these doors. For Oscar Wilde and Muhammad Ali, Winston Churchill and David Bowie, David Chipperfield and Albert Adri, Hotel Café Royal has always been the vibrant living room of London, the place to convene, converse and celebrate.

The Role:

As a Hotel Night Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of the hotel during night hours. • Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by conducting regular inspections and monitoring the security systems.
  • Manage and resolve any guest issues or complaints that arise overnight, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and engineering, to address guest needs and maintain a high standard of service.
  • Complete nightly administrative tasks, including preparing financial reports, updating guest information, and auditing accounts using Opera (experience preferred but not essential).
  • Oversee late-night dining and room service requests, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor the condition of the hotel and identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Liaise with the day management team to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of service.
  • Uphold and promote the brand standards of Hotel Café Royal, ensuring a luxury guest experience at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Night Manager or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS is desirable; training will be provided for candidates with relevant hospitality experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team during night hours.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts on a rota basis (4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts from 8 pm to 8 am).
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and service.
