Role Objectives

The Senior Data Analyst works within the UK&I Marketing Department to develop and deliver reporting and insight analysis to all business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Creating dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Support the monitoring of marketing campaign performance across the department
  • Maintain and deliver monthly KPI and ROI reporting for the UK&I management board and to support the marketing planning team at regional ops meetings
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for processes and best practices
  • Improve access to data sets and bring together to automate use where possible.

Skills and Competencies

  • Good understanding of Marketing Principles
  • Work autonomously, but collaboratively, demonstrating ownership in ALL activities
  • Demonstrates behaviour which supports the Hays brand values: Expert; Ambitious; Inquisitive; Passionate about People
  • Capable of interpreting data in order to make sound and timely business decisions
  • MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines

Essential

  • Proven ability to design visually impactful dashboards and tell a meaningful story
  • Experience with complex DAX queries
  • Using Power Query to load, transform, and curate the data
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and creation of views/tables, functions, and stored procedures
  • Logical mindset and strong attention to details
  • Project management skills

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, shortcuts etc)
  • Experience with SFMC automations
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform & service (eg DataFactory, Fabric)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Experience with Google Analytics/Looker Studio
