Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Planning Engineer to join our London-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate (up to 2 years post-graduation) with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. Construction-related experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
As a Junior Planning Engineer, you will work on tenders and support ongoing data centre projects across Europe. You will gain hands-on experience in project planning and controls while contributing to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard software.
- Support tender submissions by providing planning and scheduling input.
- Analyze project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams across multiple disciplines to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Assist in generating reports and dashboards for internal and client reviews.
- Support the implementation of risk management and earned value management (EVM) techniques.
- Work closely with senior planners and project managers to enhance project performance.
- Ensure compliance with project planning standards and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A recent graduate (up to 2 years) with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exposure to construction-related projects is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in project planning and controls.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and occasional travel to European project sites.
