Significant experience with M365 and Azure is essential, as well as SQL Server and Oracle. Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau is highly desirable.
As part of the Digital Strategy one of the enabling projects is to deliver a data platform that will allow the sharing of data across applications and providing a single source of truth for future reporting. This solution will leverage cloud technology and the existing Microsoft licences.
The first reporting delivery will be the monthly reporting of student numbers.
This contractor will be responsible for the design and build of the base platform and upskilling the existing team within Enterprise Applications to take on the subsequent build activities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Analyse current state and recommend a way forward
- Designing a safe and scalable architecture in line with Data Protection and Cyber Security policy
- Propose solutions appropriate to the technical capability and maturity of the organisation
- Explain and document decisions (technology, architecture and business process)
- Obtain buy in from business users at all levels of the organisation
- Work with the wider team to implement solutions to meet business requirements
- Design and build integrations into a wide variety of applications and technologies
- Always follow vendor best practices
