Data Warehouse Specialist - 6 month Contract (possibility of extension)

cer Financial are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Specialist for an established financial institution. The right person will have technical hands-on experience with IBM Datastage (architecture, collaborate with designer, knowledge of jobs and stages) and ETL (development, data transformation and cleansing, data integration, problem solving and debugging.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Translate requirements and data mapping documents to a technical ETL design
  • Create and review high level design of solution
  • Perform technical walkthroughs of amended DataStage ETL solutions for peer reviews
  • Develop, enhance and maintain ETL code following JRIA best practices and standards
  • Create and execute unit testing plans. Support Regression and System test efforts
  • Debug and problem solve issues found during testing and/or production
  • Ensure all deliverables meets internal standards, industry best practice within the agreed timeframe
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication to all key stakeholders
  • Responsible for the project deliverables related to assigned initiatives
  • Responsible for the IT related risks, issues and ensure appropriate escalation to appropriate management

The right person will also have experience in project life cycles and database and SQL exposure.
