Wise May are looking for a proactive, analytical Data and Reporting Analyst with a mathematical background to join a leading international Reinsurer. Working in the global team you will facilitate data-driven decision making and work with stakeholders to support their reporting requirements.

Data Analyst duties and responsibilities

  • Process requests, apply assumptions, extract, organise and analyse data from target sources to provide valid and relevant data to key stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders from different business teams to help define and create the organisation’s big data analytics framework to facilitate informed decision making by uncovering trends, patterns, and correlations in large amounts of raw data.
  • Work with stakeholders to collate, define and document data and reporting requirements to create actionable insights for the organisation.
  • Use tools and programming language (e.g. PowerBI, Palantir, Python, SQL) to consolidate, cleanse and/or transform and present data from various sources.
  • Assist Lead BI developer in validating data solutions (e.g. reconciling, profiling and reviewing against raw source) and dashboard results against Financial and original source BDX files.
  • Analyse data and identify data quality issues against key monitoring criteria and continually identify new areas of monitoring.

Data Analyst skills and attributes

  • Data Analysis experience, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data programming languages such as R, Python and/or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI).
  • Experience with AI technology and tools (i.e., Matlab, Simulink)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
